Bio

Tyler D. Bold, MD, PhD, is an infectious disease physician and physician-scientist, trained in the clinical subspecialty practice of infectious diseases and laboratory-based investigations of microbiology and immunology. His clinical interests address the care of immune-compromised patients being treated for cancer or undergoing transplantation. He sees patients at the University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center. Dr. Bold is an assistant professor in the University of Minnesota Medical School Department of Medicine’s Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine. His research lab in the University’s Center for Immunology is focused on advancing understanding of how the adaptive immune system combats infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacterial pathogen responsible for human TB.
