Sayeed Ikramuddin MD

Sayeed Ikramuddin, MD, MHA, is a weight loss and bariatric surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive general surgery, pediatric bariatric surgery and the effects of gastric bypass on type 2 diabetes mellitus. Dr. Ikraumuddin sees patients at the University of Minnesota Medical Center East Bank Hospital and University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center. His research centers around the effects of pneumoperitoneum on immunology, the pattern of common bile duct healing after surgery and 3-D real-time video holography. Dr. Ikramuddin is also the Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
