Bio
I take a shared learning approach to patient care. I think it is important for patients to come away from our work together feeling as though they have learned something worthwhile that enables them to make meaningful changes in their lives. I also think it is important that I learn from patients and their own internal wisdom so I can help them feel empowered to advocate for their own wellness and so I can also grow as a professional. Patients can expect to enter into a time-limited, goal-oriented course of treatment with me with the anticipation of eventually "graduating" from our work together. Additionally, I strongly believe in "authenticity in practice," which to me means personally practicing and using the skills and principles I teach to others in my clinical work. I went into my field because I hope to dedicate my career to helping patients, communities, and environments thrive by working to promote equity and by being a responsible steward for current and future generations. My hobbies include singing, dancing, roller skating, gardening, listening to music, and radical self-care
