Kathleen Watson MD

A graduate of Carleton College, Dr. Watson obtained her MD from the University of Minnesota Medical School where she continued training as an Internal Medicine resident and chief resident, MD, and began a lifelong fascination with how physicians learn and grow. She completed a fellowship in Hematology and joined the faculty in General Medicine in 1985. She has been a practicing General Internal Medicine physician with an exclusively outpatient practice and a special interest in care of complex patients. She is currently the Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education at the University of Minnesota Medical School. A student of jazz, opera, banjo, and classical music, she still tortures others with her flute on occasion.
