Julie Thompson MD

Julie Thompson, MD, MPH, is a hepatologist/gastroenterologist who treats patients in need of liver care (hepatology), transplant care and liver transplant. Dr. Thompson sees patients at University of Minnesota Medical Center East Bank Hospital and University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center. Her clinical interests include cholangiocarcinoma, elevated liver tests, esophageal and gastric varices, hepatitis C, B and A, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and portopulmonary syndrome. Dr. Thompson is also academically interested in liver transplant medicine. In addition, she is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
