Joshua Sloan DO

Joshua Sloan, DO, is a gastroenterologist who cares for patients with esophageal diseases and other gastrointestinal disorders. He sees patients at M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center - Minneapolis and the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center. Dr. Sloan trained under Dr. Philip Katz, a well-known esophagologist, and completed an additional fellowship in Motility and Neurogastroenterology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. While at Johns Hopkins he was tasked with developing an esophageal clinic and served as a member of The Heartburn Center. His clinical and research interests include: Achalasia, Barrett’s Esophagus, Dysphagia, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Esophageal Motility Disorders, Erosive Esophagitis, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Hypercontractile (Jackhammer) Esophagus, Lymphocytic Esophagitis, Lichen Planus Esophagus, Non-Cardiac Chest Pain, and Radiation Induced Esophageal Dysmotility. In addition, Dr. Sloan is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
