Bio

John L. Bass, MD, is a pediatric cardiologist whose treatments and clinical interests include echocardiography, heart transplant, interventional cardiology and Kawasaki disease. He sees patients at University of Minnesota Health Masonic Children’s Hospital Pediatric Specialty Care Discovery Clinic and Pediatric Specialty Care Explorer Clinic, and University of Minnesota Health Maple Grove Clinics. Dr. Bass is a professor in the University of Minnesota Medical School Department of Pediatrics. His research interest is in interventional cardiology, including the development of the Amplatzer devices. These allow repairing heart lesions with cardiac catheterization instead of cardiac surgery.
