Bio

Jeffrey Macalena, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon who treats adult and pediatric patients with cartilage damage and ligament injuries. He specializes in sports medicine and the cartilage restoration and joint preservation program. He sees patients at University of Minnesota Health Maple Grove Clinics and University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center. His research interests include anterior cruciate ligament injuries and reconstructions, joint preservation, meniscus injuries and transplantation and multi-ligament knee injuries and reconstructions. Dr. Macalena is also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
