Bio

Janet Thomas, PhD, LP, is a psychologist who cares for pediatric and adult patients with mental health disorders, substance abuse and patients in need of weight loss management. Dr. Thomas sees her patients at University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center. Her clinical interests include treatment of anxiety disorders. Dr. Thomas is also academically interested in behavioral interventions to decrease smoking among young adult college students using contingency management approaches or “Quit and Win” smoking cessation contests. In addition, she is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
