Bio

James Pacala, MD, MS, is a family medicine physician who cares for geriatric patients at University of Minnesota Physicians Smiley's Family Medicine Clinic. Dr. Pacala has also performed research and published extensively on models of care delivery for the geriatric population and focuses his teaching methods around this subject. Dr. Pacala is a Professor and Department Head for the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Univesity of Minnesota Medical School. He is also a past president of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) and is co-author of the AGS practice handbook, Geriatrics At Your Fingertips.
