Bio

Elizabeth Seaquist, MD, is an endocrinologist who treats adult patients Type 1 and 2 Diabetes Mellitus. She specializes in cardiovascular risk and the effects of diabetes on brain metabolism, structure and function. She sees patients at University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center Endocrine Clinic. Her research interests center around the impact of diabetes on cerebral structure and function and hypoglycemia in diabetes. Dr. Seaquist is also a professor of medicine and division director of the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism and associate program director of the Medical Scientist Training Program (Combined MD/PhD Training Program) at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
