Elizabeth A. Arendt, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in adult and pediatric sports medicine and orthopaedics. Her care and clinical interests are focused on treatment of joint, cartilage and ligament injuries, including repair and replacement, and disease and injury of the kneecap. Dr. Arendt is committed to listening to her patients and helping them understand their injury or musculoskeletal disease. She believes it is important to match her patient's expectations with her ability to help, and she works with her patients to set their own goals for fitness and health. She practices primarily at the University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center. Dr. Arendt is professor and vice chair in the University of Minnesota Medical School Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a faculty advisor for medical students. Her research interests include injuries to the ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), especially in women, patellar dislocation, joint instability, knee arthritis and knee deformity.
