Bio

Arne Slungaard, MD, is a hematologist who cares for adult patients with cancer. Dr. Slungaard sees his patients at University of Minnesota Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinic and University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center. His Clinical interests include bone marrow transplantation, peripheral blood stem cell transplantation and leukemia. Dr. Slungaard is also academically interested in biology and pathology of eosinophil peroxidase-mediated oxidant tissue damage and interactions of cationic proteins such as platelet factor 4 with the thrombomodulin/protein C natural anticoagulant system. In addition, he is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
