Andrew Shaffer MD

Andrew Shaffer, MD, MS, is a cardiothoracic surgeon who treats patients in need of heart and transplant care. Dr. Shaffer sees his patients at M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center - Minneapolis and M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. His clinical interests include aortic surgery, congenital cardiac surgery (adult), heart transplant, lung transplant, mechanical circulatory support (VAD), open surgery for aortic aneurysms and transcatheter endovascular surgery. Dr. Shaffer is also an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
