Minnesota Monthly Magazine has named 285 University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians) doctors from 70 adult and pediatric specialties to its 2026 list of Top Doctors.
M Physicians doctors account for more than one in four of those included on the list, the most of any group represented.
Each year, Minnesota Monthly identifies these leading physicians through a peer nomination process. The magazine asks more than 10,000 doctors in the 11-county Twin Cities metro area and Olmsted County – based on a list it receives from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice – to nominate up to three of their peers in each specialty. The physicians who receive the highest number of nominations are recognized annually as the magazine’s Top Doctors.
For M Physicians doctors, this recognition reflects a commitment not only to delivering exceptional patient care, but also to advancing research, innovation and medical education across Minnesota. As the clinical practice of the University of Minnesota Medical School, M Physicians physicians serve patients in communities throughout the state while helping train future generations of healthcare professionals.
