Mpls. St. Paul Magazine has named 123 University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians) doctors this year as their 2024 Rising Stars. The physicians spanned across 40 different specialties.
Each year, the magazine asks physicians in the Twin Cities and Rochester areas, “If you or a loved one needed medical care, which doctor would you recommend?” For the Rising Stars edition, physicians eligible to be included have been in practice 10 years or less. A blue-ribbon panel of peer physicians then evaluates the nominees and compiles the list of final honorees.
“The physicians honored this year represent a future of medicine in Minnesota that is marked first and foremost by compassion,” said Beven Yueh, MD, MPH, CEO of M Physicians and Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs at the University of Minnesota Medical School. “In addition to these individuals' deep talent and care for others, they also lead research that will become the future treatments for difficult conditions while carefully training the next generation of Minnesota’s doctors.”
These individuals have worked hard to provide excellent care for the state of Minnesota, while also making medical advancements along the way. Care and compassion are qualities all of these physicians embody, fostering a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients.
"What really makes these physicians so special is their dedication to each and every patient they see," said Holly Boyer, MD, M Physicians' chief clinical officer. "We see the difference they make in our patients' outcomes and the feedback their patients provide."
