Mpls.St.Paul Magazine has announced its 2023 list of top doctors in the Twin Cities, which includes 185 University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians) doctors across 61 specialties–the most of any medical practice represented.
Every year, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine names doctors to the list as nominated by their peers. The magazine asks physicians in the Twin Cities who they would go to for care they may need, and then a panel of physician experts vets the list of nominees based on merit, peer recognition, professional achievement, extensive research and disciplinary history.
In 2023, M Physicians doctors make up over 20% of those the list honors.
“The health of Minnesota is built on the 135 year legacy of care from remarkable physicians like these,” said Bevan Yueh, MD, MPH, CEO of M Physicians and Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs at the University of Minnesota Medical School. “Together with every patient they treat and see today, they contribute to a healthier future for our entire community.”
Jakub Tolar, MD, PhD, Chair of the M Physicians Board of Directors and Dean of the Medical School also added, “Patients across the state rely on the expertise of our doctors. Top Docs recognizes physicians who have the highest professional reputations and who improve patient care with their research. We're delighted to see so many of our Medical School faculty honored this way."
