Microneedling is otherwise known as collagen induction therapy. Your provider uses a device such as SkinPen® to create controlled micro-injuries. This helps stimulate a wound healing response which produces new collagen and elastin. These are essential proteins that help maintain a youthful bounce in the skin. Microneedling has been clinically proven to treat acne scars, stretch marks, as well as fine lines and wrinkles. After your treatment, your skin will begin to produce new collagen over the next 30-90 days (about 3 months).

How many treatments should I get?
Improvements can be seen in the skin after one treatment. However, for optimal results a series of 3-6 microneedling treatments is recommended to address most concerns. These should be performed about 4-6 weeks apart.
What should I do before microneedling?
Discontinue the use of retinoids and exfoliants 1 week before treatment. Wear sunscreen and minimize sun exposure before any skin care treatment.
What to expect after microneedling?
After your treatment you will be sent home with some Hyaluronic acid to prevent your skin from drying out post treatment. It is important to avoid sweaty exercise and sun exposure for 72 hours. You may resume wearing makeup the day after your microneedling. It is normal to have some tightness, redness, and sensitivity for up to 72 hours.
Is Microneedling painful?
A topical numbing agent is applied before the treatment to help ensure comfortability. It is possible to have some sensitivity in areas where the skin is thinner such as the orbital bone or upper lip area.
Dermaplaning is the removal of dead skin cells and vellus hair using a “butter blade.” The benefits of dermaplaning include improved product penetration, exfoliation, and brighter skin. Dermaplaning can be performed on its own or in conjunction with other skin care treatments.
HydraFacial aka hydradermabrasion is a medical grade exfoliating skincare treatment with zero downtime. The HydraFacial consists of three main steps:
- Cleanse- Lactic acid is used to soften and loosen dead skin cells to prep for extractions.
- Extract- Salicylic acid is used to manage sebum production. Gentle suction is applied to remove impurities from the skin.
- Hydrate- Hyaluronic acid and antioxidants hydrate and nourish dull skin back to life as the finishing step.
